Wabi Sabi is a Japanese/world philosophy/view centred around the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic of wabi sabi is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete". It is a concept derived from the Buddhist teaching of the three marks of existence (三法印 sanbōin), specifically impermanence (無常 mujō), suffering (苦 ku) and emptiness or absence of self-nature (空 kū).
It is about acceptance. Of all that is, all that was, and all that will be. Life and death. Success and mistake. Broken and/or wonky doesn't always mean bad, just different. There is beauty in our differences, beauty in our scars, beauty in our loss. These pieces have been made to be a reminder us to accept this all. Change happens every day, and besides death change is the only certainty so we must live life to the fullest. Live for the imperfections and mistake and embrace our perfectly imperfect selves.
*Please note: do not wear in water.
