Ear Candling
The process of ear candling takes approximately 60mins. The candle is 100% Australian made and is 40cm long and hollow with a 1cm diameter. Each ear takes 30 minutes with five 1.5-inch cuts as the candle burns down. The candle is tapped when cut so the wax falls on the paper towel.

Reiki & 3rd Eye Candling
This is a combination of two healing treatments, Reiki and Candling. This treatment takes approximately 2hrs. Candling of the third eye occurs first, by placing the base of the candle over your 3rd eye, then Reiki comes next placing my hands over your chakras allowing the flow of energy to move around your body to ground and energize you.

During the 90 minute consult, a full medical history is taken, in-depth questions are asked regarding your current health, goals, diet, and lifestyle. Following the consult, a treatment plan and prescription unique to your needs are curated.

This is for existing clients as it is a follow-up appointment to track progress and restructure treatment and goals. The consult can take approximately 45 minutes.

This is not a full naturopathy consult as it is a 30 min consult. This is much like a GP consult where we look at a single health issue such as cold or flu and help you get back on your feet faster. The appointment time includes a quick interview, followed by recommendations for recovery.

Initial Shiatsu Massage
Shiatsu is a traditional hands-on Japanese ‘healing therapy’ originating from the Japanese amma therapeutic massage. It is quite an intense form of massage whereby thumbs, elbows, forearms, feet, and knees are used to apply pressure on the body. This is combined with stretches, joint rotations, and joint manipulation to give an all-over body treatment.
Consultation includes case history followed by bodywork styles - Shiatsu massage, acupressure, barefoot & sotai. Oriental styles that may also be used are cupping, gua sha, or moxa, ending with a reflection/diagnosis.

Shiatsu Massage Review (Follow-up)
During a Shiatsu review, Duncan will check to see how your body has progressed from the initial consultation. Duncan will then use his thumbs, elbows, forearms, feet, and knees to apply pressure on the body. Sports & Remedial Massage
During a remedial massage treatment, Kristy or Fiona will assess, in consultation with you what areas require treatment. She will advise on a treatment plan to do outside of the massage session in order to help improve mobility and function. The aim of remedial massage treatment is to reduce physical pain and discomfort, increase the range of motion and prevent further injury. This massage is ideal for clients recovering from sports injuries, injury prevention, and those suffering from past injuries. Check your health insurance extras and see if you are covered. Hot Stone Massage
Connie offers a hot stone massage session. She uses granite stones and massage oil to nurture and heal your body. Connie, will first place the warm stones on specific points and meridians of the body, focusing on blockages within the physical body. Using the stones to massage the body, the warmth from the stones promotes deep muscle and tissue relaxation, alleviates stress, releases toxins, relieves pain, improves circulation, and calms the mind.

Kristy is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist that has been part of Thornbury Apothecary for the past year, however she offers herbal medicine. She also holds a Bachelor Degree in Western Herbal Medicine. Kristy’s passion for health and well-being saw her to welcome and combine both practices in order to assist clients to reach equilibrium within their own health.
Herbal medicine assits a range of areas such as: mood disorders, especially anxiety and depression, fatigue, pain, digestive issues, trauma, and women’s health.
