What to expect during an Emotion Code® session?

The Emotion Code® works with a mixture of muscle testing and energy healing, with the aim to discover and release trapped emotions, allowing the body to heal faster and more efficiently. Muscle testing involves asking a definitive question and then gauging the positive and negative muscle response. It’s believed that a strong muscle response indicates a “yes” or positive answer, while the weak muscle response indicates a “no” answer. By working with the nervous system in this way, energetic imbalances can be found and eliminated quite efficiently. “Trapped Emotions” is commonly used to describe any unconscious emotional energies which exist as a result of intense or traumatic emotional events that have not been fully processed and released from the body or mind. When emotional energy becomes trapped, this can have a great impact on a person’s physical and emotional wellbeing. Through energy healing tools and techniques like muscle testing these emotions can be identified, processed, and extinguished from the body, restoring a person to feel healthy and balanced. After each session the clients are emailed what has been released or realigned in that session with a cover letter which explains how to support their processing phase.

How do people feel after a session of the Emotion Code®?

After your session, you may move through a gentle processing or integration period. I will let you know the approximate length of this at the end of your session, as it can vary depending on which emotions have been released.

During this time, you may notice your body and energy gently adjusting. You might feel light and energised, or perhaps a little tired as your system settles. Some people notice changes in sleep, such as vivid dreams or restlessness, mild tension or headaches, emotional shifts, or memories and past experiences gently coming to the surface. You may also feel slightly under the weather or more sensitive than usual, which is all part of the natural process of integration.

Please know that all of these experiences are normal and temporary. Be gentle with yourself and lean into self-care during this time. You’ve released deeply held emotions, and your body may need space to adjust.

Allow yourself to feel whatever arises without judgement. If old emotions or situations come back into awareness, it’s not random—it’s often a sign that they are ready to be fully released. Try not to push them away; instead, support your healing by choosing what feels nurturing to you. This might be journaling, moving your body, spending time in nature, creating art, or simply allowing yourself a good cry.

Remember, tears are a powerful form of release. Prioritise yourself and your healing, and trust that this integration period is an important and meaningful part of the process.
