How can a Naturopath assist with period pain?

Well, firstly we try to figure out what's causing and contributing to the pain. Is the liver slow to metabolise and eliminate excess oestrogen? Is constipation present, causing oestrogen to be reabsorbed into your system? Are you eating inflammatory foods and not balancing them with anti-inflammatory foods? Are there too many prostaglandins running rampant around your body? (Hint: if you get the period poops, it probably is.) The list goes on but the good news is that a Naturopath has the tools to bring balance to your body and reduce the incidence and severity of pain.

Intense period pain is not something we should have to live with. Why would we want to?
