Myofascial Massage

What is myofascial massage?

Anyone who has had a myofascial massage knows how deeply relaxing and satisfying it can be. Myofascial massage or myofascial release (MFR) as it’s commonly referred to, releases tension more effectively by targeting connective tissue (fascia), unlike a normal massage that focuses on releasing tension from the muscles alone.

Whilst every therapist has their own unique style, the general practice of MFR uses slow and steady pressure, as well as sustained stretching to gently soften and release the fascia connecting organs and muscles throughout your body.

Who could benefit?

If you suffer from any of the following, MFR may greatly benefit you. Including:

  • Myofascial pain syndrome

  • Chronic headaches

  • Venous insufficiency

  • Inflammation

  • General aches and pain

Just to name a few. To find out more about myofascial massage and whether you’d benefit from it, come in and speak with our friendly staff or give us a call on 7016 4369.
