Flower Essence Therapy: What, Why and How?

You might have noticed the rising popularity of Flower Essences, having gained world-wide recognition due to their holistic health benefits. With their historical use spanning over thousands of years from Ancient Egypt to Europe and through Asia, flower essences have been used as a traditional treatment for longer than we can know. So, have you heard of Flower Essence Therapy and all the benefits it can bring?

What is Flower Essence?

Flower essences operate from the belief that many physical ailments are often manifestations of emotional or energetic imbalances. A chosen plant or flower is infused in water using sunlight, then removed. This slow, gentle infusion process means the energetic life-force of the flower can transfer its healing vibration directly into the energy field of the person who drinks it. The water can then be “potentised”, or the energy made stronger, through a variety of dilution methods.

How can Flower Essences help me?

Unlike Western or even Naturopathic medicine, which impacts the body’s biochemistry, physiological systems and hormones through suppressing symptoms, flower essence therapy works with the subtleties of the human energy field and emotions. It provides a supportive frequency to stimulate and regulate the body’s natural healing powers and energy field, in turn working to rebalance mood, energy levels and overall wellbeing.

Many factors will determine the impact that a plant can have on an individual, such as the colour of the plant, its shape and growth patterns as well as its habitat or growth environment. Every individual can also have unique responses to flower essences, and the body will determine its own needs intuitively.

Who can use flower essences?

The wonderful thing about flower essences is how safe they are! The energetic infusions of healing plants can be used by adults and children alike, as well as those with compromised immune systems and various other health conditions. However, a specialist is recommended to ensure the correct consumption and identification of what plant is right for you.  Contact our in-store Naturopath to find out for yourself!
